Eugene McDaniels, writer of Roberta Flack 'want Makin' love, "death at 76"

Singer ' feel like Makin 'Love' eugene mcdaniels (Gene as he was often called) Friday 29 July at his home in Maine, died of an undisclosed illness, Brooklyn vegan reports (via js Online). He was 76 years old.

In addition to his kind-covering blues, ballad and jazz songs, McDaniels wrote and recorded several tubes of Top 10 in his career, including "A hundred pounds of clay 1961" and "Tour de force."

McDaniels, also written Roberta flackof 1974 enormous hit single ' feel like Makin 'Love' which has since been repeated by many artists. His beats were often used as a source for the early hip-hop pioneers of sampling jazz melodies and drum sounds. Among those who inspired the singer were A tribe called quest, Beatnuts and the Soul.
