When MTV News has caught up with Carpenter and Heard to talk about their film, we asked how much of a creepy factor has been added in the film simply by the practical effect of their location - real abandoned psychiatric hospital.

"It was in an abandoned building on a campus with crazy people in a psychiatric facility, criminally the fool," Carpenter explained their game.

"We have sufficient intercalated between the prison for the criminally insane and mentally insane hospital," Heard added. "We have the first right of location just between the two." We have been closed. »

Carpenter said that they have nothing to do to make the scary game.

"This is an old building, an old dusty building that they had left and that it was perfect for us", he said. "What makes fear at this point was that it was true." "It was just monstrous."

When asked to explain if there are shots of signing or nods to the past work of Carpenter as fans in the film, the Director of the genus veteran said may not please everyone, so he focuses on the stories he loves first.

"John Carpenter fans are unexpected human beings human." "Many live under highways and cardboard boxes, many living in psychiatric institutions," he said. "I can't really think on the subject too much when I do a film.". The first inspiration for me is the story. What history? "I convert as a Director of horror late 1970s with 'Halloween', but I have managed to have a career doing different things," he revealed. "It was great, all-female distribution, a cast that should work together in an isolated area of shadowy dark and there is something to walk around at night." It was very fun. »
